What we lift around Danbury
- Rooftop HVAC on the Federal Road and Newtown Road corridors. Big-box and plaza roofs from the Danbury Fair Mall out through Brookfield. Lot setups, no permit, half-day jobs.
- Commerce Park and the Route 7 industrial strip. Machinery, generators and switchgear for the manufacturers and labs along Commerce Drive, Mill Plain Road and Backus Avenue.
- Trees over estates. Ridgefield, Redding, Newtown and New Fairfield have the biggest residential trees in the state and the longest driveways. A 60–75 ton crane with reach handles the oaks the bucket trucks cannot.
- Candlewood Lake and Lake Lillinonah. Docks, boat lifts, hot tubs and modular boathouses set from the road side when there is no water access. Steep lake lots are a specialty; we survey the setup pad first.
- New construction in Bethel and Brookfield. Truss sets, steel beams and precast for builders who do not want to tie up a tower crane for one day of picks.
Access notes
Many Fairfield County driveways are long, curved and paved with pavers or asphalt over soft base. We ask for a driveway photo and length up front; if the crane cannot reach from the road, we price a smaller crane that can get up the drive on mats rather than tearing it up with a big one. Low-hanging tree canopy over driveways is the other common limit on crane height; measure or send a photo.
Permits
Residential picks from a private driveway need no permit. Street setups in downtown Danbury, Bethel center or Ridgefield's Main Street need a town road-obstruction permit, typically 3–7 business days. Oversize travel on I-84 for the larger cranes is filed with CT DOT.
Rates to Danbury
