CT Crane Rental

Crane rental in Bridgeport and the lower Valley

Straight down Route 8 from the yard: Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, then Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull and Fairfield. Industrial picks on the harbor, steel for the downtown rebuild, and residential trees in some of the most heavily wooded suburbs in the state.

What we lift around Bridgeport

  • Harbor and industrial. Machinery, transformers, containers and tanks along Seaview Avenue, Stratford Avenue, Housatonic Avenue and the East End industrial blocks. Port-adjacent work where a crane with a long reach saves a barge.
  • Downtown construction. Beam and truss sets, precast and rooftop mechanical for the apartment and mixed-use projects going up around Main Street, Fairfield Avenue and the Steelpointe waterfront.
  • Stratford and the Sikorsky corridor. Equipment moves and generator sets for the aerospace suppliers and the plants along Lordship Boulevard and Honeyspot Road.
  • Trees in Fairfield, Trumbull and Easton. Large oaks and maples over houses on wooded lots, where the crane sets up in a cul-de-sac for the morning. Storm cleanup after shoreline wind events is a big part of this.
  • Shelton and the Route 8 office parks. Rooftop package units on the corporate buildings along Bridgeport Avenue and Enterprise Drive, usually scheduled off-hours.

Permits in Bridgeport

Any crane that occupies a city street or sidewalk needs a permit from Bridgeport's Public Facilities department, and downtown picks near Main Street often need police detail for traffic control. Allow 5–10 business days. Stratford, Fairfield and Trumbull use a town road-obstruction permit, usually faster. CT DOT oversize permits cover I-95 and Route 8 travel for the larger cranes. All of it is filed by us and billed at cost plus a flat coordination fee.

Access notes

Bridgeport's older neighborhoods have overhead utility lines on both sides of narrow streets, which limits boom swing. We walk every street setup for clearance before the truck leaves the yard. On the shoreline in Fairfield and Stratford, soft sandy lots need extra matting; it is included.
